Keir Starmer approves use of British Storm Shadow missiles inside Russia

Sir Keir Starmer has met Joe #Biden for the first time as #Nato leaders gather in Washington DC. The Prime Minister shook hands with the US president and Jens Stoltenberg, Nato’s secretary-general, at the formal beginning of the alliance’s 75th anniversary summit. The Labour leader earlier met Volodymyr Zelensky for a bilateral meeting which he said proved Nato is “clear-eyed about the threat of Russian aggression”. Sir Keir also publicly confirmed that Storm Shadows given to #Ukraine can be used to hit Russia, defence sources have said. Posting on X, formerly Twitter, Mr Zelensky shared a photograph of himself and the Prime Minister, with the caption: “This morning, I learnt about the permission to use Storm Shadow missiles against military targets in Russian territory. Today, we had the opportunity to discuss the practical implementation of this decision.” Read more:
