Destructive wind! A powerful thunderstorm in Belarus knocked down trees and tore off roofs.

A powerful downpour with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds hit the central region of the republic on 17 August. Fallen trees blocked the passage, one of them collapsed on a pensioner. In the Minsk region alone, rescuers went to saw trees more than 30 times - to Vileika, Kletskiy, Krupskiy, Minskiy, Pukhovichi, Uzdenskiy, Molodechno, Kopylskiy, Volozhinskiy and Dzerzhinskiy districts. In the Minsk region, a tree fell on a pensioner: the man was rescued by local residents and helped to get to the hospital. In addition, a powerful wind blew away the roofs of 32 residential buildings and 23 agricultural buildings.
