How to put on and tie a Hakama (Aikido) - 3 ways, very detailed (w/ subtitles)

In our first “How To“ video, we will explain 3 different ways of putting on and tying a Hakama for Aikido.
Those 3 methods could also be applied in some ways to Iaido, Kendo and of course, any Jujutsu-like art that uses a classic Judo type black belt.
Those methods are, however, not suitable for wearing a Hakama at a formal occasion.
The first method presented is the one used by Seido’s founder Jordy. With this method, the Hakama should stay in place. The second method, is the most common in Aikido. The third one is very less common but is very likely the best method, if your Hakama doesn’t stay in place during practice when using the other two methods.
