Acoustic Adventures with Tony Kakko of Sonata Arctica

With 10 studio albums in their discography, and a bunch of EPs and live albums to along with them, they are a legend in the power metal genre (though singer Tony Kakko would probably dislike that categorization!). Last week I met with Tony, the founder and singer of the band, to discuss their new album, “Acoustic Adventures Part I“, and also to reflect on family, ageing, and maturity, when you’re a touring musician, and Stratovarius’ huge influence on Sonata Arctica.
