Iraq: Thousands call for education minister’s resignation in Sulaimani
Thousands of protesters took to the streets of the majority Kurdish area of Sulaimani, on Tuesday, to call for the resignation of Kurdistan Regional Government’s Education Minister Pishtiwan Sadiq.
The organisers of the protest, which included civil servants, teachers and lecturers called for Omar’s immediate dismissal because of his decision to postpone the opening of schools.
