Ambassador Gatilov: Since 2014, Russia always prioritized diplomatic solutions and made multiple attempts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis peacefully. Minsk I and II agreements were clear examples of our efforts to end the hostilities. Now we know for a fact that that the Kiev regime and its Western backers never intended to use the Minsk agreements in order to facilitate the resolution of the crisis. They were merely a smokescreen for the West to buy some time, arm Ukraine, and train its army for modern warfare. ️ Soon after the beginning of our special military operation, Russia demonstrated its readiness to engage in direct dialogue with Ukraine.
