Airdate: circa February 1963 I posted a clip a couple of years ago of the kids dancing to this song during a 1964 “memory day“ where they danced to the hit songs of ’63. This clip aired sometime in late January, Feb. or possibly early March (no way to really know the exact date) when the song was still climbing the charts. “Walk Like A Man“ hit #1 on March 2nd. Dancers: Richie Cartledge with Geri Ianetti (0:15), Gary Stapleford (0:22), and Bobby Baritz with Michelle Liebowitz (0:41). At 1:36, on the far left of your screen, watch for Pat Carpino and Sandi Bartholomew to walk around and go right to the front of the “line“ for the last few seconds of the song as Bobby and Michelle clear out. I’m not sure if the more popular “star regulars“ were allowed to walk to the front any time they wished but it does seem that the front “line“ is frequented by the more popular dancers.
