Hundreds of protesters camped outside Victoria’s Parliament House in Melbourne, on Monday night, demonstrating against the government’s proposed pandemic legislation. Protesters equipped with flags, banners and costumes expressed their displeasure against the vaccination regulations proposed by Victorian State Premier Daniel Andrews. The Public Health and Wellbeing Amendment (pandemic management) Bill 2021 passed the lower house last month with the government now hoping that it will pass the upper house next week. The new pandemic laws will replace the current state of emergency powers when they expire on December 15, and responsibilities would be transferred to the state premier and the minister of health.
