I Fall to Pieces - Jim Reeves Cover (with lyrics)

After a slow start, “I Fall to Pieces” became a massive hit for Patsy Cline in 1961, having been spurned by other female artists as neither country enough for the country artists, nor pop enough for the mainstream set. It was also ignored by male performers as being too “girlie”, until Jim Reeves produced a stunning version of it which also made the charts. The song itself, written by Hank Cochran and Harlan Howard, has won just about every music award available and is considered a classic. In 1982, a tribute album (a virtual digital duet concept) was released to remember these two stars, who had ironically both died in plane crashes in the sixties. It makes you wonder just what might have been, had Patsy and Jim ever been able to actually perform together.
