DIY Rope Candle Holder:
When I started making this DIY Rope Candle Holder I planned only to use Mod Podge to hold it together.
But I quickly realized the thickness of this rope required hot glue to hold it together.
So while you don’t need Mod Podge on the base of the balloon, under the rope, I decided to go ahead and use it since I had already started with that method.
You also don’t technically need it on top, after hot gluing the whole thing together, but I went ahead and topped it with Mod Pode for two reasons.
The first is that it will help the jute hold its bowl shape.
The second is that it glues any stray jute fibers to the bowl, giving it a more finished look.
I added some moss and a flameless candle to finish off the look.
What will you add to your DIY Rope Candle Holder?
Friendly Note: The balloon I used is made from 100% natural latex (not plastic), they are biodegradable and compostable in 6 weeks and are made with food-grade ink. Oh, and the bags they came in are compostable too (as they are made from 100% corn starch).
