About Our Speakers: Joy Jones is an esteemed trainer, speaker, and author of books for both adults and children. Her acclaimed works include ’Tambourine Moon’, celebrated as one of the best books for children by the Black Caucus of the ALA, and the novel ’Jayla Jumps In’, ranked as one of the best sports books for children by the ALA. Joy’s dedication to cultural and community enrichment is evidenced by her founding of the DC Retro Jumpers, a double Dutch team that has served as cultural ambassadors abroad. Currently, she plans and implements innovative programs for the DC Public Library. Taya Golovanova is a respected artist, art teacher, and emerging author of children’s books. Her environmental project, Limpia, which includes the book ’Juego Limpio’, aims to provide environmental education and foster community unity through modern digital technologies. Taya’s home studio mirrors her eclectic talents, brimming with paintings, ceramics, books, and the laughter of small children. About Moderator: Lev Shishov, also known as Bobisch, a dancer, DJ, event organizer, and sub-cultural researcher, will moderate the session. Lev’s multifaceted career spans from teaching dance to children, to writing articles on blockchain and web3, always with an emphasis on community building and the importance of maintaining a funky, vibrant spirit.
