First recording of Violin Phase by Steve Reich from the album “Steve Reich: Live/Electric Music“ and performed by the late great Paul Zukofsky. For this release, Zukofsky chose to record the piece at only three-quarters of Reich’s suggested tempo in order to make the shifting patterns more apparent to the listener.
