Restoration Old Rusty Broad Axe

Hello folks, today I want to show you my new restoration project. This old rusty broad axe I found at flea market. I’ve never seen such an axe, it’s not a factory issue, but the work of a blacksmith. Of course, I bought it. Restoration process: First, I used special liquid to removed rust and dirty. Then via cup wire brush I cleaned an ax surface and corrected the shape via files. I also re-sharpened the axe, using a belt grinder and stones. For the handle, I had a piece of walnut wood. I removed the old coat of paint from it and sanded it. Finally, for handle I used my homemade wax for wood finish. As usual interesting test for you, I hope you will enjoy this restoration video.
