Joe Biden made a highly publicized visit to Kiev, Ukraine this week, and the praise for his bravery, daring and nose-thumbing at Vladimir Putin was widely praised by the usual suspects in the political commentariat as he risked life and limb – an air raid siren even went off! Except that, as was later acknowledged, the Russian government was alerted to Biden’s upcoming visit so as to avoid the possibility of an actual attack during Biden’s visit.
