Inside of a 2N2219A transistor #electronics #microscope #transistor

I have a bunch of old circuit boards lying around, full of transistors and other stuff, and I thought it would be fun to look at the inside of some of those components. First, I looked at the silicon die using my LinkMicro LM246MS microscope. Not too bad results, but at higher magnifications, the image becomes somewhat fuzzy. It is hard to adjust the lights properly, so some colours simply disappear. Then, I pulled up my metallurgical microscope together with a mirrorless camera and recorded some footage at different magnifications. I added scale bars so you can see how tiny those features are on this transistor. Please don’t forget to subscribe! Please consider supporting me on Patreon!
