Сергей Сарычев и Гр. Альфа - Альбом Альфа-2 (Бега)
Alpha-2 (Running) Is the second album recorded by Alpha Group In 1984, the second Album was recorded In significantly more extreme conditions as before Alpha-2, all of the Instrumental tracks were recorded at rehearsal, Alexander Ageev helped thе group record the Album.
During rehearsals at an officially closed-down restaurant In Obninsk, Alpha Group ran Into trouble when the so-called Militsiya arrived and vacated them off of the closed restaurant, cordoning It off.
As a result of the Incident, they resorted to recording Sarychev’s vocals directly Into a tape recorder. With the participation of excellent hard rock musicians such as Alik Granovsky and Vladimir Kholstinin In the recording, It determined the harsher sound of Alpha-2.
The main hits of Alpha-2 were the songs Mirror-River (Zerkalo-Reka, Russian: Зеркало-Река), albeit the entire Album Is a hit on Its own. After the second album release, Granovsky and Kholstinin left, with Molchanov to follow shortly after. They went on to form the backbone of Singing Hearts, on which the basis of Aria was soon born.
In 2013, especially for the 30th anniversary of Alpha, the leading Russian label, the Mirumir Music Publishing House, released 3 tapes with old recordings from Alpha, under license and production from Sarychev himself.
For the first time, leading Moscow sound engineer, Evgeny Gapeev, prepared the three tapes, remastered In accordance with the latest, modern musical technology, In all 3 editions of the tapes. The first release was a jubilee collection of recordings from 1983-1986.
The second release was the legendary magnetic Album of Alpha-2, otherwise known as Running. And finally, the third, released on New Year’s Eve of 2013, saw the release of Alpha-1, known as Reveller, which created all of the Ideas of the 80s Soviet Rock even before the creation of Vekstein’s Aria.
In this Album, I have done some re-arrangement of the songs and replaced the Album version of “Give me an Answer“ with the first recording of the song, which I believe Is better sounding than the Album version, Improved In sound quality by me.
