Bangkok residents rally to uphold election result despite Senate obstruction

Hundreds of protesters took to the streets of Bangkok on Saturday calling for democracy after the Move Forward Party (MFP) candidate was blocked from becoming prime minister despite winning the last election. Demonstrators, chanting ’Respect my vote’ and carrying posters of majority party winner Pita Limjaroenrat, rallied to protest Senators who refused to vote for Pita.
