Headquarters USSOCOM - Mogadishu Mile

The Battle of Mogadishu, made famous by the movie “Black Hawk Down”, resulted in hundreds of Somali fighters killed, 18 U.S. personnel killed, 73 wounded, and one captured. Headquarters USSOCOM honored the service members of that operation with the fourth annual Mogadishu Mile Shootout and 5K run at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.
