Northern Thailand: Mien hill tribes in 1965

Almost 50 years ago this cinematographer filmed a hill tribe in their village in North Thailand. Informed viewers tell me that these are Mien tribes and not Yao tribes as I stated before. The people who wandered in from South China are known for their beautiful embroideries and necklaces, but also of opium cultivation. Yao tribes are also found in Laos, Tibet and Myanmar.
