The Mercury Monterey for sale was a full-size car model introduced by the Mercury division of the Ford Motor Company in 1952. For 1955 the car met its market match as Mercury’s top model with the introduction of the Montclair. The same year, it gained the 292 cu in (4.8 L) Y-block from the Thunderbird, producing 188 hp with Merc-O-Matic 3 speed automatic. It used independent ball-joint front suspension and the brake size was increased. Very little restoration work was done on the this 3 owner all original Florida car. The 292 runs like a sewing machine and the 3 speed automatic transmission shifts smooth as butter. This was an oddly optioned car with the 2 shades of blue on the inside but its subtle and fits the bill for the era!
