Harold Faltermeyer & Steve Stevens - Top Gun Anthem (Guitar Cover)

Well, I never thought I’d be doing so many tracks from the Top Gun soundtrack but they seem to be well received and this was requested many many times. This is of course my second cover of Steve Stevens’ work and I honestly thought it’d be easier than Dirty Diana (cover here ) but it was a lot harder. He has some incredible fiddly licks and I took some time to build up the muscle memory for a couple of parts over a few days just on and off. I think I got there, or at least as close as I can get. I checked out a couple of live performances for hand positions. His variations of the main lick are pretty cool and gives you different things to focus on on every pass. I’ll maybe cover the Righteous Brothers for my next Top Gun video...
