Stick Hunter: Exciting Ice Hockey - Famicom (1987)

Stick Hunter. It’s such a nonsensical name, but it’s exciting sounding, isn’t it? Really campy and over the top , it even says it’s exciting ice hockey! How could things go wrong? Every way. All the ways. As far as I can tell, you can’t change the player you control OR it’s some sort of secret combination of keys that you’d never figure it out normally. Also, A does seem to speed you up, but B doesn’t seem to do anything and neither of them shoot the puck either. I’m not sure I understand how, either, but from what I can tell it’s something close to “let go of every direction and button, then hold A, then flick down-to-up or left-to-right.“ I have no idea if that’s true. It’s a horrible game that shouldn’t exist, let alone wasting the awesome name it has.
