No title. Indian Festival in New Delhi, India. Colour item. Various shots gigantic paper mache effigies of evil. Various shots Ram Lila carnival procession coming through crowd lined streets. Actors in costume act out ancient legend of “Dussehra“ on carnival floats and horseback. Good shots crowd watching. The procession passes three giant effigies. Actors with face paint, playing parts of Ram and Laksham, stand on chariot float firing arrows at the effigies. Various night shots of impressive fireworks display. L/S burning arrow being fired at one of the effigies, it bursts into flames. L/S fireworks exploding on the second effigy, pan to the first one which is burning fiercely. L/S one of the burning effigies collapsing in flames. L/S third figure being set alight by flaming arrow. L/S as figure collapses in flames. L/S as third and final figure collapses in flames.
