When we imagine fish, we tend to think about fish in profile view. I like to try something different. Why not drawing fish in cool perspective. Change the point of view and see if you can change something ordinary to something cool! Colours are very important also. Bright and vivid colours are easy to recognize but the grayish & earth tones are often hard to use. Good artists use greys and earth tones effectively. Colours we see are not as brilliant as we think they are. Try finding the good balance between weak colours and the accent colours.
