Summer Wine is our final selection for this first ever Treehouse Concert Series. This final post is airing on July 4th, 2020 - HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY EVERYONE! We selected this song because it combines the sounds of two genres, both country and the echo of the 60s. It was the first of many hit duets by Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood, the latter writing the song. You may enjoy the more modern version by Lana Del Rey and Barrie-James O’Neill (of Scottish rockers Kassidy) and you might remember the 2002 “VH1-Live in Dublin“ version with The Corrs and Bono singing together. (we recommend you check those out!) Whichever you prefer, we tried to bring you the original arrangement, or get as close to it as possible.
