Bottlenose dolphin in Amsterdam

This bottlenose dolphin Tursiops truncatus was filmed in the harbour in Amsterdam, May 2nd 2020. It followed the sailing ship Tres Hombres for three days, all the way from France, up through the sluices at IJmuiden, and stayed closed to the ship even when it was docked. Based on photographs taken of the animal, the dolphin was identified as ‘Zafar’, a dolphin known for approaching boats and people in Brest (France).
