Drums For A Queen Cuts ? (1961)

Beautiful quality colour footage of a royal visit. Probably cuts for the documentary “Drums for a Queen“ which featured Royal Visit to Ghana and West Africa in 1961. Various shots of people waiting to greet Queen Elizabeth II, the royal cortege, children waving flags, schoolchildren trying to grab flags that fly through the air, traditional dancing, guard of honour, the Queen meeting people etc. All the usual “royal visit“ type footage. Some of this footage features Liberia. Some of the dancing involves throwing children around in a rather violent manner - not sure that this would be approved of today. Many of the dancers and musicians wear elaborate tribal make up and dress. The material is in excellent condition - vibrant colours and no scratching to film.
