How Players Broke the Sound Barrier in Tears of the Kingdom

This is the story of our adamant refusal to let something like gravity keep us down. In the short two months Tears of the Kingdom has been out, there has been a continual arms race between players to try move Link as quickly as possible. This video is about one type of vertical movement technique that has emerged as a result of this activity: the Recall Launch. As of now, we can now launch over 4km, from the deepest depths to the highest heavens, at over 1.5 times the speed of sound.
