ZHONG KUANG. Fujian Baihe Quan (Minghe Quan). Zhongkuan, “middle frame“. The third of the three basic taolu of Minghe. Yu Shifu argues, that all the other taolu of the White Crane style are variations and recombinations of these three. And it seems to be truth, because the elements of these three forms occur here and there. Zhongkuan contains a large number of combat techniques, but above all it gives an important study of the upper body and arms. Learning of Zhongkuan is very difficult – it’s a complex combination of tensions, relaxations and vibrations, what needs a special explanation to understand. The composition of the movements of this taolu is the most “crane-like“ in Minghe-quan
