* About the song:
The poem “Ant Bahar Di“ was written by Sufi poet and mystic Bulleh Shah, who lived in the late 17th and early 18th centuries in the Punjabi region. He was affiliated with the Qadiri Sufi order, a mystical branch of Islam focused on spiritual growth and a direct connection with the divine. The poem was written during a time of political and religious turmoil and reflects Bulleh Shah’s Sufi beliefs and ideas about love, spirituality, and the unity of all creation.
