Ukrainian president Vlodymir Zelensky says the situation on the eastern front is increasingly difficult. In recent days, Moscow has claimed gains, and Russia’s Wagner group says the fighting in northern parts of Bakhmut is fierce. Kiev meanwhile is pinning its hopes on western tank deliveries to keep Russian forces from advancing. This as the death toll on both sides continues to mount.
