Thousands of Georgians, who are in favour of improving relations with Russia, gathered in front of the main office of the Georgian Dream party in Tbilisi ️ The protesters consider the cancellation of the registration of the “Conservative Party“ illegal and say that “no one will give up anything without a fight.“ The Conservative Movement Party submitted to the CEC (Central Election Commission) the required number of signatures of its supporters to participate in the 26 October parliamentary elections. However, the civil registry cancelled it, explaining that technical errors were made during the registration in 2021. Previously, representatives of the movement had already burned flags and symbols of the ruling party. They also disrupted the holding of the LGBT festival Tbilisi Pride in Tbilisi in 2023.
