Shocking Blue - Venus (1969) on German Television in 1996

In the ZDF television garden in Mainz on July 14, 1996. This rare video of a late version version of the biggest Dutch world hit of all time, was sent to me (thank you!) by drummer Tom Wierenga. It concerned a short-term come back of Shocking Blue, without the participation of the famous band founder Robby van Leeuwen. Mariska Veres (.) passed away December, 2nd, 2006, at the age of 59. Tom Wierenga today is still alive and kicking with Buddy Friends, see for example my video of their Slim Harpo cover “Shake Your Hips“. Im Fernsehgarten des ZDF in Mainz am 14. Juli 1996.
