Carl Czerny - Study no 50

Here is my tribute to Carl Czerny, one of the most underrated composers in history. He was questionably the greatest piano teacher ever, Franz Liszt being one of his pupils. Czerny was the first pianist to play Beethoven’s piano concertos, at the request of the “Master of Bonn” himself. His influence is very clear in Chopin’s repertoire. Czerny’s vast and varied musical production includes symphonies, operas, sonatas, nocturnes, variations and a plethora of beautiful studies such as the one in this video.
