Comparing the now-standard 2018 remaster with the 1973 mix of the extended version of Bluebird I realized that: - the 1973 mix of the main section of the song is very similar to the 1967 mix, but it has a narrower stereo image. -the transition section from 3:09 to 3:22 is centered on the stereo image on the 1973 mix, whereas it’s on the right speaker on the 1967 stereo mix. So I worked with a needle-drop of the 1973 LP, EQ’d it, and widened the stereo image of the 1973 mix as to match the main section of the song to the 2018 remaster of the 1967 mix and EQ’d as closely as possible, so this remaster I used the 2018 digital stereo remaster unchanged for the main section of the song (until 3:09). Even after I’d widened the stereo image of the needle drop, the transition section was still mono (or centered), so from 3:09 to 3:22, it is still the 2018 remaster, but with the stereo image narrowed to reflect the mix as presented on the double LP compilation.
