The island of Kos - more than just beaches

The Greek island of Kos is known above all for its many unspoilt sandy beaches. But not only bathing enthusiasts get their money’s worth here, but also culture vultures. The island has Greek and Roman ruins and also some from the time of the Crusaders. The island’s most famous son is Hippocrates, and the remains of one of the largest ancient spa and healing centres can be found here. At the same time, the island is manageable in size, so that everything can be easily explored in a day trip.
