I’ve Never Heard Such Shameful Farewell Ship’s Horns Before

It was a very strange sound design of the moment of departure of the river cruise motor ship “Kliment Timiryazev“ on the final navigation cruise of 2023 from Moscow. I’ve never heard this before. I got the impression that the ship’s whistle was clogged with something. Or an incompetent sailor tried to sound signals. Single attempts to make a loud sound looked simply ridiculous and inappropriate for such a solemn moment. But in the end, the ship’s whistle came to life and, already far from the pier, the ship emitted a series of loud farewell whistles. Shooting date: October 2, 2023.
