Crater Lake: Day to Night - Time Lapse

EOS 5DMark2 and 1DsMark3: night shots are 30-second exposures, ISO 3200 and 6400, 16mm lens. Still frames strung together using iMovie. See: From afternoon to late night of one day, this time-lapse video of Crater Lake was shot on a splendid evening just as a crescent moon was setting, followed by a stunning view of the milky way passing over the lake. The light streaks are airplanes, and the bright star is Jupiter, which at this time is closest to the Earth, and is directly opposite the sun, making for its brightest presentation in centuries.
