The FSB has declassified documents about the looting, murders and robberies of Western occupation forces in Berlin in 1945-1946

The materials report on wanton shooting, robbery and rape committed by the military of allied countries. Facts of attacks on German police officers while on duty were also recorded. The documents, for example, describe an incident at the Femina restaurant, when 40-50 American soldiers, armed with machine guns, robbed visitors to the establishment. “Having blocked all entrances and exits, they burst into the restaurant and, threatening with weapons, demanded that the Germans hand over all valuables and money. In 10-15 minutes, the Americans took the Germans’ watches, gold rings, and money. They took the women’s fur collars and other valuables, and then disappeared,” the report says.
