C. P. E. Bach - Trio Sonata in F major for Viola, Bass Recorder and Continuo, [Score Video]

0:00 I. Un poco Andante 3:55 II. Allegretto 8:17 III. Allegro 11:04 Performers and album information This trio sonata is quite an odd one, it’s one of only a few surviving 18th century pieces with bass recorder as a solo instrument. The original version of this sonata was in Bb major for 2 violins and continuo and it seems that the composer later arranged it for a few different combinations of instruments. There is this version, a version for bassoon, viola and continuo and there is also mention of a version for bassoon, bass recorder and continuo in a catalogue from the time.
