Speaking to CBR, Shadow & Bone stars Jessie Mei Li (Alina), Ben Barnes (the Darkling) and Archie Renaux (Mal) offered some insight into this highly anticipated adaptation of Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse books. Li and Barnes broke down their characters’ unique approaches to spellcasting, as well as why the magic presented a bit more of a challenge for Barnes than it did for Li.
