У Павлы Ледковой редкая и необычная профессия. Она чумработница. Это официальное занятие многих жён оленеводов, с записью в трудовой книжке. Они занимаются чумом, готовят еду, воспитывают детей и помогают разводить оленей. Люди следуют за животными в любую погоду, даже когда на улице ниже 30 °C. У Павлы есть квартира в городе. Но тундра крепко держит её. She is a plague worker. This is the official occupation of many reindeer herders’ wives, with an entry in the work book. They take care of the plague, cook the food, raise the children, and help raise the deer. People follow animals in any weather, even when it’s below 30°C outside. Pavla has an apartment in the city. But the tundra holds her tight. Perhaps the plague worker is delaying the move, because here she has a devoted friend - a reindeer?
