“I just wanna say how happy I am to be playing at Bird’s Basement the famous Jazz Club in Melbourne Australia. I’m really lucky to be bringing some fantastic musicians. Dennis Chambers on Drums who I’ve played with for years, Jimmy Haslip on Bass who I’ve played with when I was a guest with the yellow jackets, Danny Walsh, an amazing tenor saxophone player who I played with a lot in New York City, and Leni Stern, My wife, who is a wonderful, creative musician. Wonderful guitar player and also plays n’goni which is an African instrument. I’ve never played with Dennis Chambers and Jimmy Haslip together, but I know they’re an amazing rhythm section because I’ve heard them together with other bands.
