Kaiser Franz Joseph I was the Emperor of Austria/Austria Hungary, and King of Hungary from 1848, until his death in 1916 at 86 years old during the First World War. This recording was taken on a wax cylinder in 1900 at the World’s Fair in Paris, as Franz Joseph Speaks of the Invention of the Phonograph.
