Planing wide Boards or Beams with Electric Hand Planer –Adjustable Thickness Planer Jig –Woodworking

If you have ever tried planing boards with an ordinary electric planer, you probably know how difficult it is to ensure flatness. If you need to plan a few planks or beams quickly, it is possible to build a simple adjustable jig. You need just to cut a threaded rod and attach it to some board. As you can see, it works pretty well, but still, the machine planer is much faster than this electric planer jig. I believe this fixture can be advantageous for large boards. If you make the base wider than I did, you can thin out even a table. Large machine planer is really expensive, not to mention renting time on it. The accuracy of your jig will depend on the rigidity of the frame. It can also be made from aluminum profiles. For more details, turn on subtitles. Subscribe for more ideas. #workshop #woodwork #tool
