Harp of Death / Two Sisters / Cruel Sister (Omnia Cover) - Anglo Saxon Lyre
This is a version of a really old British folk song - it’s bit gruesome!
A version was first written down in about 1650 but it probably originated from Norway earlier than that.
There are many variations and melodies for the song. I know it as ‘Harp of Death’ by Omnia () - but it’s more commonly known as ‘Two Sisters’, and is in the folk collections as Roud #6 and Child Ballad #10 (though this version has the refrain from another folk song)
Just a simple recording on a mobile phone.
