Critically endangered Sumatran tigers born

Two Sumatran tiger cubs have been born in Kinantan zoo in Bukittinggi, Indonesia. A male and a female were born at 7:00 a.m. on December 16, 2018, local time. The cubs are said to be in good health but are under close supervision of a team of veterinarians. Conservation officials are still deciding whether the new arrivals will be released into the wild to boost the population.
