Military doctors of airborne unit performed a unique operation

Military doctors of airborne unit performed a unique operation Watch the footage of the operation carried out by Russian doctors of the Airborne Forces to remove an unexploded 30-mm automatic cannon shell from the thigh of a wounded serviceman, brought from the front line of the southern flank of the Artyomovsk direction. A serviceman was brought from the front line to a separate medical detachment with unexploded 30-mm ammunition stuck in his left leg. The projectile miraculously did not detonate. To carry out this very dangerous operation, military doctors had to work in body armor and under the supervision of sappers. Before delivering the patient to the Department of Surgery, people were evacuated from there. The wounded paratrooper himself is conscious and was also covered with body armor. Surgeons examined the wound site in 3D projection. This allows you to more accurately study the nature of soft tissue damage and the location of the ammunition. After all the examination procedures and compliance with all safety requirements, the doctors decide to perform an operation and remove the ammunition. The operation to extract ammunition from the paratrooper’s body lasted about an hour. Military doctors removed the ammunition and the life of the serviceman is no longer in danger. Due to the complexity and high risk in the world, there are only a few successful operations to extract ammunition that has settled in the human body, but military doctors of the Airborne Forces, showing courage and heroism, at the risk of their own lives, successfully carry out very dangerous operations and save the lives of wounded comrades.
