Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine on September 13, 2022

Despite the difficult situation in other parts of the front, in the Soledar direction the allied forces continue to break through the enemy defenses. The Wagner PMC units play a major role in this. ▪️ During the offensive from the Kodoma side, the Wagner attack groups established control over the settlements of Nikolayevka and Nikolayevka II. They continue to move towards Otradovka and the southern outskirts of Zaitsevo. ▪️At the same time, Wagner PMC units attacked from the direction of the village of Vershyny and approached Ukrainian formations to the east of Zaitsevo. ▪ Wagner PMC fighters are also attacking from the Bakhmut (Artyomovsk)-Svetlodarsk highway to encircle the Ukrainian armed forces at the Donbas power substation. They cover the site from the eastern and northeastern sides. ▪️ In addition to the success in Bakhmut, allied forces have advanced in Soledar. Wagner PMC units occupied the stretch of road between Bakhmut and Pokrovskoye, while units of the 7th brigade of the DNR’s NM occupied the first block in the north of the town. The front line now runs along Kosmonavtov Street. 🔻 The intention of the allied forces in the Soledar direction is not to storm the settlements “head-on“, but to take all the fortifications around and create a bridgehead for simultaneous attack from several sides. This will make it possible to take Bakhmut and Soledar by storm without long, bloody urban battles.
