Hezbollah raises ’flag of revenge’ in southern Lebanon, signalling a response to Israel’s actions

The war of words between Hezbollah and Israel is intensifying. There are growing fears that months of cross-border strikes between them could escalate into an all-out war. Hezbollah says its attacks on Israeli military sites are in support of Palestinians in Gaza. Israel’s recent assassination of numerous Hezbollah commanders, as well as the killing of Hamas’ political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran has the region bracing for what’s next.
